The help that you can acquire here, in the Harry Blake Workshop, is Free, but you will be working from one of our books which can be downloaded cheaply to your computer screen. We take take things step by step and will allow you to copy the first chapter of Conspiracy of Eagles for this assessment. But what you have to do, is to change the characters the dialogue and the plot, just retain the basic outline and be astonished with what you come up with. When you have completed it, just send me your work for my Free honest assessment and we will take it a step further.

You may ask what will this exercise achieve? Well, to start with, I can guarantee that this simple process will inspire you with a story for your own book...no more worrying about a storyline. You need a topic which, if you take my advice, will be from your own life experiences. Perhaps choose a place. Somewhere in the world that you've visted like I did, where you have experiened vivid recollections. When you get involved in this simple exercise, you will feel sure that you can go one better than I did, and that will be great. Go for it.

The Middle East can conjure up romance and adventure, with terrorism a very close third. Select a place you had stayed, a place you know well. The more you know about your topic, the easier it will be for you to write about.

If you look at Jericho Light one of the downloads I recommended, you will see that the first page content reveals the part of the world you have chosen, the location, characters and their objective. Everything in one page. You should try and attain this for your reader, since your initial information sets the scene for the entire story.

You may only begin with a simple beginning, unable to come up with a storyline at this stage, but as long as you make a start, so much the better. Soon you will come up with an idea, you want to write about. Terrorism in the Middle East is a topical subject so lets go.

At this stage you may not know about your characters. They will come in time, but you must get your main character sorted out first, before you go further. Don't worry if you are unsure, you will be making changes throughout your work...and its part of the fun.

Follow the style of the chapter. I don't mind if you use it for your first attempt at writing, changing what you want here and there. But get to it. Type out the words, 'Chapter 1' and you've become a writer. You may find that your ideas, completely different from mine, are much better.

A book title will enter your mind, but I feel sure that it will change as you progress. Just remember to keep a back-up of your work. Its no fun when you lose 300 pages from a manuscript, I assure you.

Getting started means the planting of a seed. Keep thinking, writing and amending, to make it grow. Now you have decided upon the book genre being a political thriller we can really move it. You have the title and you also have a glimmer of an idea who your character will be. Read some more of the book you have downloaded and then find a quiet corner and think about it before changing everything for your own preferences. Its easy to get started and, once you have, you won't be able to stop.

STEP ONE: Download a copy of Conspiracy of Eagles and use Chapter 1.

Find Wealth In Your Writing

If you ever had doubts that you'd never become wealthy through your writing, read on. At Harry Blake's Workshop for Writers I'll get you on the right track. I'm Harry Blake, I'm just a character from the head of my author, and I know better than most what it takes to become...er...well, famous...if you know what I mean? I'd been buzzing about in his head for years, before the fool actually woke up and recognised me. I mean, for gods sake, the guy knew what it was all about, he had spent his time doodling around, writing blogs, posts and e-mail stories, so he must have had a modicum of talent...yeah? But no! The idiot binned the lot, or left others to profit from his good ideas

Now tell me something, if you could spend a few moments writing an error-free Blog, wouldn't you have to admit that you could write a Paragragh of a book too? Well, just knock up a few thouand of these, and you already have a book. So what's the problem?

The problem is, that too many people complete the paragraph and then toss it aside, losing thousands of dollars, pounds or whatever else you deal in. Is that stupid, or what? Okay, there may be a couple of technical gizmos involved, but if you can write one complete paragragh you must be writing about something, and you could turn your writing into wealth quite easily.

When my author finally came to his senses, he first created a character which turned out to be me, Harry. "What's it going to be about?" he asks himself continually, then it was, "How do I do this?" and, "How do I do that?" Well,I don't mind telling you folk, that it took ages for him to decide. But, eventually it all began to come together and, up to now, he's written three novels about me. I don't mind telling you this, but he's made quite a packet since he first stopped throwing those scraps of paper away. He'd tried making submissions to main stream publishers, but they're a crowd of crooks, and they're the cause of us loosing thousands of brilliant stories and authors by rejection, every year, with not even them being given the courtesy of a manuscript reading. A tragedy, thats what it is.

This failure is not your fault as a writer my friend, and it is certainly not the end. There are ways for anyone to write a good story and use it to make loads of money. You can even create your own life story and watch the pennies roll in. Anyone can do it. That day, when we...my author and me, went aboard our new boat for the first time, you just knew he'd made it. The sun was shining on Lake Garda that day and the snow glistened on top of the mountains. He stays there a lot nowadays, writing to his hearts content. He got all that by doing what I want to tell you here.

No matter who you are, you can definitely write something good enough to bring in the dosh. It doesn't cost an arm or a leg, and I'm going to help you...me, Harry Blake. All you have to do, is to download a copy of our very first eBook Conspiracy of Eagles.and we'll go from there. You will begin to see the basic construction of the storyline as you read. My author has written three books in this series, which he calls The Expatriat Legacy. If you prefer, you can select either of the other books instead. Jericho Light tells the story of a hell of a fight I had with Iraqi agents in the Red Sea, which you won'e want to miss, and the latest best seller, is Rabinski's Tear, which outlines the scrap we had with Christian Identity groups from the USA. While my team are trying to prevent these bums from detonating a dirty bomb in Washington DC, I find out that the Arc of the Covenant has been hidden in the Vatican for centuries, a real blockbuster this. When you've got the first chapter on your screen, send me an e-mail to confirm. I'll lead you into your new manuscript, through these continuing posts, until you are happy to be let loose. We'll write a book together...yeah? As you continue to write, your work will improve, just like my authours did, and he's even started to write humorous books now, which are surprisingly good, but a little close to the knuckle, if youknow what I mean? These two new releases will have you pissing yourself, excuse the pun, they are The Seapriest Greaser , about a drunken priest on a trampship voyaging around Central America, and the other one is about unbridled lust among the old-age pensioners of Cockhampton Cove, called The Cockhampton Advent. But keep your mind off having a published best seller anyway. A publisher will 'grant' an author approximetaely 22.5% of the retail price on sales, whereas an eBook will provide twice as much...perhaps more. In my Workshop I will show you how it can be done and maybe one day, your boat will be tied up next to ours. Good luck.
